The single was housed in a 14-page hard cover book. ma chérie is preformed by Gackt, music written by Mana, and the lyrics written by Malice Mizer. However, it is speculated that Tetsu (the original lead singer of the band) wrote the song. Because he was no longer in the group when the official single was released, it makes better sense for the lyrics credit to be under the band's name. The song was first performed during Tetsu's last concert.
The song was recently made available on the La meilleur selection de MALICE MIZER album, a release commemorating the tenth anniversary of the band.
