the legend of zelda : the wind waker

It all starts on a little boy's birthday on a quaint little remote Island in The Great Sea. Link, who lives on that little island of Outset, is turning twelve years old. Why is this birthday more special than any he has had or will have? It's simple. This is the age of a hero of an ancient legend. The legend stated that during a time long ago, when the world was not divided by water and known as the land of Hyrule, a darkness fell over the land and enslaved it's people. Only the appearance of the hero, who they called " The Hero Of Time ", saved the inhabitants of this land from certain doom. Only a short time later, after the Hero Of Time left Hyrule, the darkness returned and covered the land once again. The people of this golden land prayed to the gods of their world for help...

The legend ends there, and the people of OutSet island are the last in The Great Sea to continue a tradition that has lasted for generations. Link will be dressed in the same clothes as that legendary Hero Of Time. However, unlike the last generation of boys on his island, Link will not only wear these clothes to continue a tradition, but he will unwittingly add another page to the legend of olden times, and even find his place in the world. To Link, the legend will prove itself to be truth and he is the next vital part of it.

On Link's new adventure, he will encounter things that even the legendary Hero Of Time may not have witnessed...

The young Link must fight hordes of huge armored enemies like the world has not seen since the ages spoken of in Legend. He must face an adversary thought to be locked away forever by the ancient hero. And Link must even venture back into the land of Hyrule, which was thought to be forever lost under the tides of The Great Sea. However, before all of this, Link must save his young sister who was kidnapped by a huge menacing bird. Thus begins his quest to save The Great Sea from a darkness that once ruled a world, and take his rightful place as The Hero of the Winds...
