Why the title? It's a name that I always though fit Meryl.. And I wanted it for the fanlisting even before I adopted it. It's funny that the previous owner of this fanlisting, Lady Athena, also had the same name! Meryl is a very compassionate character, much like a rose. And when you look to the setting of the series ( a desolate desert land ), Desert Rose just seemed to fuse together perfectly. Plus, the lyrics in Sting's song Desert Rose fit Meryl to the T!
